Aren’t you bored of going to the north on summer holidays? Aren’t you fed up with the sultry climate in Gilan and Mazandaran in hot summers? Haven’t you decided yet to try a cooler place and omit humid places near the Caspian Sea?
Read through to get some ideas for summer trips and learn to exclude which places.
Which northern cities are better?
Perhaps you are already familiar with Iran’s geography and there is no need to state that Iran’s south and desert cities should be avoided in summer. We assume that you follow primary tips but there are still a few points. For the first advice, you are recommended not to choose the coastline cities in the north. You might have friends who have been there for a few hours , which happened to be cool and cloudy but this is no good reason to take the plunge and head off to the sea.Undoubtedly, you’ll end up in being confined in a villa right in front of the gas cooler and keeping your fingers crossed to have nice weather in the evening to get out. Sometimes the enjoyment of bathing for a few hours is not worth the delay and exhaustion in the sultry climate of the north. So the first advice would be not to travel to the cities near the sea . But is it possible not to go to the north at all? In case it’s difficult to do so , it would be a good idea to head off to the high cities far away from the sea . Our suggestions are Damash, Deilaman, Gisum in Gilan , Alasht, Savad Kuh, and Javaher Deh in Mazandaran.
Special route to Ardebil
But if you want to take our advice, you’d better forget about two provinces of Gilan and Mazandaran in summer and visit other places. One nice option, which has a lot of enthusiasts in summer, is the province of Ardebil. You should only experience the cool weather in Sareyn to hit the road and move on when hot seasons arrive in Tehran. You can go through Rasht, Anzali, astar, Heiran col, and Sareyn to Ardebil to experience various climates in a land trip. Our special suggestion is to do shopping in Astara’s market , to stay in the suites of Heiran col, spend time in Sareyn and wander around Ardebil.
Kuhrang , a heaven for heat fugitives
A common belief among Iranians is to head off to the north in hot seasons to enjoy the cool but this is not always true. You won’t ever believe how cool it gets in Kuhrang in boiling summer.
To travel there, after 9 hours path from Tehran on a bus or in your own car you’ll reach to Shahr-e Kord. After that the road to Chelgard in the center of the town of kuhrang is about 90 kilometers long. Once through the path you’ll get to the village of Dime Banatski . Here you ‘ll have 15 km a head to reach the inverted tulips fields. The path offers picturesque scenery of springs and lush fields. Slopes in Khansar Kuh are covered in beautiful and exceptional fields of inverted tulips.
The fields are also seen around the cities of Fereydoon Shahr and Miandasht. In Samirom too, there are fields of inverted tulips. If you depart from Isfahan, to reach the fields you should take the road to Shahr-e kord , along Zande Rud dam. After 80 km on the road, on northwest, you’ll come across a two-way road. Here you should take Chadegan’s , 30 km before Chadegan , near the dam lake of Sefid Rud continue 10 km towards Zure. After 50km you’ll get to Cheshme Dime and then to the village of Banastki. And this is where you should start walking.
Nice suggestion: in Chelgard , there are good accommodating services in the hotels like Zard Kuh and Kuh Rang. In the village of Cheshme Dime , locals offer rooms to travelers.
