I received your letter when I was in deep slumber, your words woke me. Your letter like a star drenched my bed chamber with thousands of drops of light. It was a sign of your presence. You brought your letter to me yourself.
I can see your illuminated footsteps. Wherever there is light, there you have stepped. You call yourself The Light.
Your letter was full of names. Names and signs. Your name is the giver and your sign is the bread of every day.
Your letter invited me to a banquet. You said anybody with a true heart in his chest is welcome. You invited us to a great feast spread in the heavens and you avoid us to come and pick a morsel from the sun's hot chalice. You promised whoever drinks from the goblet of light would fall in love. It was the promised an elixir, that fiery potion that takes man to heaven. You promised me that my innocent heart was as close to heaven as a heart could desire, yet life is short and there is time but little. You warned me if I'm late to the feast I may suffer in thirst forever.
Oh Angel! Come to me! O dear friend! Come and show me the way to the heavenly feast and the holy banquet. Let us haste! I have a thirst for the sun!
