Toward the Promised Land
“God has bestowed us, His chosen people, displacement as a divine gift and the fact that all has considered that our weakness, but in fact, it has been our strength. Displacement has now put us on the verge of world domination.”

The Most Complex Expedition through History

There has been conflicts and struggle between the followers of Moses (peace be upon him) and the followers of Pharaoh In these years and some calamities were landed over the people of Pharaoh; including the Nile water turned into blood for them, in a way that it was useful neither for agriculture, nor for drinking, but the same water was clean and tasty for the Israelites and the believers.
The people of Pharaoh, with each disaster, turned to Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) so that he would help them in fixing the trouble and promised that in case the problem is fixed, they will become believers. But they never abandoned pride and stubbornness, and they even added to their obstinacy and malice and called these signs as magic:
And they said: “Any sign that you bring upon us, even in the way that it will enchant us, we will not believe.”
Forty years of the prophecy of Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) was passed that Pharaoh decided to kill the Israelites.
Moses (peace be upon him) benefited from all the tools of guidance to penetrate the dark hearts of the people of Pharaoh. But none did any benefit and the only choice left was to curse them; because the corrupt people upon who there is no hope of being guided, have no right to live in the order of creation, and the divine punishment must be dropped upon them, in order to clean the earth from their existence. Therefore, Moses (peace be upon him) prayed to the Lord and complaint of their crime to God:
So he called his Lord: “These people are criminals.”
In this verse, it has been mentioned what Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) has asked from God, but from the answer of God in the next verse, it is clear that he has asked God for destroying the Pharaoh.
“Send my people to follow you in the night. Surpass the calm sea, that they are the army of drowned people.”
The Lord had made the whole system at the service of Moses and Israelites for forty years, so that the prophet will prepare them for this day. The escape of Israelites is the most complex escape recorded in history and no expedition with this accuracy can be found. Even today with all the progress of science, such cannot be done. According to the Torah statistics, the Israelites were more than six hundred thousand people when exiting. Secretly removing six hundred thousand people of the region, also without anyone to find out is very complicated and difficult. Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) had one night. The success of this performance was the result of that forty years of work and opportunity.
In the morning, the Egyptians found that the Israelites have all fled and have taken all their properties and some of the Egyptians. With Pharaoh's command, some troops started following the Israelites.

Passing the Sea

The Israelites reached the sea in the course of their escape. At this time, the people of Pharaoh also reached them from behind. Israelites had no way ahead and no way back. They knew neither war nor did they have the tools of war. The full armed army of Pharaoh came forth still. Israelites started crying out loud:
“When the two group were faced with each other, the followers of Moses said: We are caught. Moses said: Never, my Lord is with me and will guide me. So we revealed to Moses to tap his rod on the sea and the sea was divided and each part was like a huge mountain.”
Twelve ways were opened, to the number of the tribes of Israel, in front of them and all passed the water. Pharaoh's error was that he also entered the water. The emergence of such a road in the sea would make any life-reading child understand the great miracle of divine, but arrogance and pride of the Pharaoh men didn’t let them to think and realize the truth, or maybe they assumed that the division of the sea was an order of Pharaoh! It seemed that God had taken away the Pharaoh people’s understanding of the clearest matters and their brain was covered by the tyranny curtains and neglect and separation from God. With the entry of Pharaoh's people into the sea, suddenly the waves, like the old building whose base is suddenly broken, collapsed and all the Pharaoh’s people were drowned.
We made Israelites pass the sea. Pharaoh and his troops chased them with intentions of cruelty and outrage. When Pharaoh was drowning, he said: I believe in the fact that there is no God but He who the Israelites believe in, and I am submitting. Now? And before this you did the revolt and were among the corrupted. Today we lift your body up, so to be a lesson for those who remain after you, and many people are ignorant of our signs.

The Time of Moses’ Government (Peace be upon him)

With the destruction of Pharaoh and his army and the vacant ruling position of Egypt, Moses (peace be upon him) was able to return to Egypt with Israelites and take control of the government in there; because they knew that land perfectly. But his mission was the establishment in Palestine and Jerusalem. The highway was there. If that place was captured, Egypt at the bottom, Rome at the top and West Asia, beside to the land, would be affected by this monotheistic movement.
Overseas, Moses’ difficulties and problems began. Before that, he only had problems moving the Israelites, providing facilities and daily needs of the people was upon Pharaoh. The Israelites were slaves and their owners were supplying their needs. But overseas, supplying all their needs was upon Moses (peace be upon him). In fact, the beginning of the reign of that Prophet of God was after passing the Nile. The Israelites were placed in an area that had little basic and necessary facilities of life, was low. Controlling six hundred thousand people in a desert field, especially the provision of bread and water for them was very difficult.
The first problem that the people of Moses (peace be upon him) were faced with was supplying drinking water. They asked Moses for drinking water. That prophet restored to God for solving all the problems. The Holy God said: “Put a rock in the middle of the settlement and hit it with your rod.”
Following this action, twelve springs of water sprung out of the stone and the water problem was solved. Since then, this stone was the water source of the camp. They moved it from here to there and wherever they wanted water, he hit it with a stick and water started springing out of it.
The next obstacle was the food that God solved it, by sending seed and Salwa. Seeds were tiny drops that fell from the sky over the camp and the Israelites made bread with it. Salwa was the bird that flew slowly in the camp, and each of the Israelites who raised his hand, could get one of them. Thus, the problem of food was solved.
Another problem was the lack of shelter and the disturbance of the sun. God sent clouds for them that was over the camp day and night; in such a way that if someone wanted sun, must go out of the camps. On the day, the clouds block the sun and the air of the camp was cool.

Preparing for Global Governance

The mission of the Israelites was to form a government in the holy lands and base a global governance. Therefore, they should have been taught. Therefore, Moses (peace be upon him) built a training camp at the foot of the Sinai Mountain. The training camp was established several years and during this time the Israelites were taught.

A. Organizing and Solidarity

As we said: Jacob (peace be upon him) had twelve sons, who were called Israelites. Each tribe of Israel assigned himself to one of the sons of Jacob (peace be upon him). These tribes were called kinsman. Moses (peace be upon him), in the first step, to strengthen the organization of tribes, divided them according to their kinsmen. In any tribe there were thousands extension who included thousands of people in itself. That prophet determined a commander for each of those thousands. He also divided the thousands to hundreds and determined a commander for each hundred. Every hundred also had two groups of fifty people and each a commander, and each fifty consisted of five groups of ten people, and each ten had a commander. The commander of the ten people was their coach and the commander of fifty people was the coach of those coaches. The commanders of the hundreds were also the coaches of the fifty people groups. The commander of thousands were coaches of the commanders of the hundreds, and those coaches of the thousands were trained by the coaches of training camp and those training camp coaches by Moses (peace be upon him) (tribe, Thousands, Hundreds, Fifty people, and ten people). In this way, they were totally trained. This training played a significant role in the promotion of scientific culture and government and entered the assembly of governments.
According to the Torah, the Israelites were trained in all areas of economy, cultural, industrial and... They, who were even unable to make a simple box, in this camp, progressed so much in industry that from among them, Samaritan came out. He was so skilled in casting and molding that he built a calf of gold which made the sound of a cow. In this way, the Israelites were trained at the highest level and primary associate of the Jews was provided in this camp. By order of the Prophet Moses (peace be upon him) they had also built a tabernacle to perform congregation prayer and listen to the words of the Prophet. According to the large capability established in the camp, they sent professor and teachers to places and used the payment for the camp. It is said that Moses (peace be upon him) had ordered the Israelites to carry gold as they can from Egypt. The Samaritan’s Golden Calf was made of the same gold. But about how this gold was brought to Egypt, there are different sayings. According to some sayings, the prophet had told them to borrow from them, and by doing so, the injustice of Pharaoh will be compensated.

B. Educating Typology

One of the trainings of Israelites in the camp was education of copying, drawing the face and recording it. The training was transferred from generation to generation. It seems that this verse in the Quran says:
“People of the Book, as they know their children, they know Him (the Prophet (peace be upon him)); but a group of them with the same awareness, hides the truth.”
Referring to this characteristic in them. People of the Book have read all the characteristics of the Prophet (peace be upon him), and they were so familiar with these features that they recognized him as they saw him. This understanding was not recognizing the properties, but it was face recognition; the same that they know their child by face not by characteristics. Salman was one of the Jews’ slave. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) was passing a way that a Jew saw him and recognized him. When he told the news to master of Salman, Salman heard it and followed the Prophet (peace be upon him) and believed.

C. Strong Communication and Information System

One of the problems during the war was Communication and sending messages. In the past, usually for messaging they took advantage of the delivery; but the system was too time consuming and too much energy and was not useful for practical work. Moses (peace be upon him) taught the use of horn and trumpet to communicate to his followers. Today in Jewish practice, this sounds ritual, but on that day it was useful and operational. The system of the notes of Moses (peace be upon him) came within the Torah according to the instructions of God, and all the Israelites were assigned to play these notes each day as worship. All of them knew the meaning of sounds and tones and they were so trained that Moses (peace be upon him) stood upon a hill and the whole camp started to move. The tribes understood his tones; the tribes played, and the thousands understood ... and to the last person who knew the sound of their own horn. The communication problems were solved in this way. Today the Jews and Zionists are the leaders of the world in the issue of communication, and this is due to their historical education system.

Malformations of the Desert

A. The Tendency to Idolatry

When the Israelites crossed the river, they saw people who had bowed on the doorstep of their idols. They liked the pagan practice and went to Moses (peace be upon him) and asked him a god like the god of the idol worshipers.
“And we passed the Israelites from across the sea. So we saw people who were busy worshiping their idols. They said: O Moses, as they have a god, create us some gods. Said: You people are unreasonable.”
Forty years of Moses’ effort for these people’s monotheism has not been beneficial and they abandoned the God in exchange for false visible god.

B. Greed

As mentioned above, the supplies of Israel came from the sky. Everyone should consume only as much as their daily needs and if they took more of it and turned it to dough, it would get worms. Food was always ready and they were all devoted to training, but after a while, they came to Moses (peace be upon him) and told him that we are tired of the humdrum.
“O Moses, we cannot wait on one kind of food. Ask the Lord to plant for us of what the earth grows, such as vegetables and cucumber and garlic, lentils and onions.”
Their demands were about things that they didn’t need and it was kind of diversity. The prophet warned them and reminded their mission that they should follow contentment for that mission and that diversity will keep them away from the path, but the Israelites refused. So God commanded them to change the location of the camp and go to Egypt where everything existed.
[Moses] said: “Do you want to change what is superior to what is inferior? Return to the city where they give you whatever you want. Humiliation and misery were imposed on them and they were accompanied by the wrath of God.”
The consequent of their request was that they should pay money for buying onion and to have money, it was necessary to work. The outcome of work and training camp was also separating from the camp and trainings. So they were faced with debt and credit, etc., and they were stripped off their freedom. They found out that this diversity and extremism brought them humiliation and they were again slaves and disgraced.
It was from here that the Jews, in order to bring down the relatives who were in conflict with them, involved them in variety and luxury. When a society is involved with diversity, faces a shortage of capital and is drawn to borrowings. Borrowing also brings humiliation; while the achievement of self-esteem is contentment.

C. Ideological Deviations and Counterfeit in the Time of Absence

God called Moses (peace be upon him) to Sinai Mountain. During this period, the Israelites had seen all the training and had some scholars. The special people of Moses (peace be upon him) said to him: We do not accept that you talk with God! How can we be sure that you really bring the orders from God? So take some of us with you.
“Moses (peace be upon him) chose seventy men from among his people for the appointment.”
That prophet chose seventy men of those who had a position and identity and were trusted by their words, so that they will witness Moses speech with God and inform people.
People were awaiting the return of their prophet. The promised thirty-night passed and Moses (peace be upon him) didn’t return. Ten days was added to this period, while the Israelites were unaware of it.
“We appointed three nights with Moses, and added another ten nights to it, so that his God’s promise became forty full nights. And Moses said to his brother Aaron: Be my substitute to my people and follow the path of reform and don’t follow the path of corruption.”
In the space of ten days, Samaritan emerged. It was an opportunity to mislead the people. Samaritan gathered the Israelites’ gold which was remained from Pharaoh's people, and created a calf statue and called it the God of Israel.
They said: We did not break our promise by intention, but we had some loads luxury of that people (Pharaoh’s people) and we throw them in fire and Samaritan also threw. And created for them a calf statue that that had the sound of cows and they said: 'This is your god and the god of Moses, which Moses has forgotten.
The waiting time is an opportunity of destruction for the divert forces. One of the factors of destruction in the conditions of waiting is counterfeit. One of the enemy’s actions in the waiting community is forging a counterfeit and destruction. In the history of Shia in the time of absence, some counterfeits appeared, which fighting them was one of the tasks of Shia.
Aaron (peace be upon him), the successor of Moses (peace be upon him) in this period, started fighting with the calf worship. But the majority of the Israelites had gone the path of disbelief and Aaron (peace be upon him) was forced to wait.
At the end of the Miqat, he sent the sound of revelation to the Sinai Mountain so that the attendance of Moses (peace be upon him) would hear. But they, under the influence of pleasure of sound or because of the dominance of disbelief, said: Hearing the sound heard is not enough, if you don’t show a representative, we tell people there was no God:
And when you said: O Moses, we do not believe you, until we see God clearly.”
Moses (peace be upon him) advised them that: O people, God does not appear to eyes, but they refused. God has described their request of Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) in this way:
My Lord, reveal [yourself] so that I look at you. He said: you will never see me. But look at that mountain, if it was located on its place, you would have seen me. When his Lord was manifested on that mountain, the mountain was collapsed and Moses was unconscious. When he woke up, he said: Glory be to you, and I will return to you and I am one of the first believers.
But the attendance of Moses (peace be upon him) died to see a lightning bolt that transformed the mountain into a pile of dust.
“And as they looked, the lightning seized you.”
Moses (peace be upon him) brought them to witness his dialogue with God, but what should he do for the inconvenience that happened. Here, too, he asked the Lord for help.
“When the lightning seized them, [Moses] said: O my Lord, if you had wanted, you would have killed them and me before this, do you kill us because of the acts that the ignorant have done? And this not but your examination. You will mislead whoever you want and guide whoever you want. You are our Protector, so forgive us and forgive us that you are the best of those who forgive.”
Therefore God gave everyone their lives.
“And I resurrected all of you, you may be grateful.”
Moses (peace be upon him) took the book and walked quickly toward his people; God spoke to him and said:
“O Moses, what led you to surpass your people? Said: They are those who followed me. My Lord, I rushed to you so that you would be pleased. Said: We tested your people after you and Samaritan misled them”
Thus, all the efforts of Moses (peace be upon him) to guide the people were gone.
When Moses returned to his people angry and sorrowful, he said: What bad substitutes you were in my absence! Why did you let go of your Lord’s command? And he threw the tablets to the ground and took his brother's head and pulled him. [Aaron] said: “'O son of my mother, these people found me weak and nearly killed me. Do not make my enemies happy and do not count as the unjust people.”
That prophet, with these actions and reactions, teaches the people that they should biased in the path of truth, rather than passing beside the deviation coolly and calmly. Then he went to the Samaritan.
“Said: and thou, Samaritan, what was it that you did? He said: I saw something that they didn’t see. I took a handful of soil from the feet of the messenger [truth, Gabriel on it], and put in that body (calf) and my soul made this action seem fair to my eyes.”
From here you can find that the creators of idols know that their idols did not do anything and have no benefit. Moses (peace be upon him) also knew this, but he wanted to reveal the truth from Samaritan himself. After proving Samaritan’s crime and his followers and also his own confession, that prophet issued a decree condemning him.
“[Moses] said: Go, in this life, you will live in a way that you will always say: do not approach me. And there will be a promise to you that you cannot get rid of it. And now look at your god that you worshipped, and now we burn it and throw it to the sea.”
Thus, the Samaritan was sentenced to three types of penalties: 1. Separation from people, who some have said that he got some mental disease, a severe obsession and fear of man; 2. Eternal punishment; 3. The elimination of his manifestations and efforts. The followers of the Samaritan must also repent and show regret of what they did.
The love of this calf was such in some people's heart that they prostrated in front of it in the depths of the heart and were unwilling to return from it;
“Because of their disbelief, the love of the calf was buried in their hearts.”
Their problem could not be resolved with retraction and this love should have left their hearts. Therefore, a higher repentance was needed and so the calf-worshipers should kill each other.
“And [remember] the time when Moses said to his people: O my people, because you worshipped your calf, you have wronged yourselves. Now you repent to the Almighty Creator and kill each other.”
This was the only way for Israelites to repent and return to God and there was no choice other than that. The offset of some abnormalities in the community is very hard and overwhelming!

D. Ignorant and Stubborn Questioning

Other malformations of Israelites was the unreasonable and useless questions that faced the camp with problem. Later Israelites, using this experience, performed this kind of destruction for standing against their opponents. Quran cites the story of lesson learning about this: A group of Israelites found the body of a person from the side tribe among themselves. The blood owners accused them of murder and Moses (peace be upon him) failed to find the killer. Because the people of Israel were hurt and their tolerance threshold was low or because they have recently been saved from Pharaoh’s yoke and were too demanding or for any other reason, by the occurrence of any problem, they pressured their leader, Moses (peace be upon him) to the level of disbelief. That prophet, who had taken great trouble to regulate the collection, asked God’s help to solve such problems. In this regard, God commanded them to kill a cow. In this command, there was no mention of the type and characteristics of cow. Therefore, each cow that they bought and slaughtered, they came upon this effect, but they told the Messenger of God:
“… Do you mock us? [Moses] said: I will refuge to God if I shall be of the ignorant. They said: Ask your God to explain the kind of cow? [Moses] said that [God] says: A cow, which is neither a disabled follower, nor young and which has not worked; Middle-aged. Now do as you’ve been commanded.”
They asked in vain and tightened the circle of choice:
“They said: Ask you God for us that what the color is? [Moses] said that [God] says: It’s a cow with the color of sharp yellow that makes viewers happy.”
But they did not abandon the triviality and asked about the other features of cow:
“They said: Call upon your Lord for us to say how the cow is? That the cow is dubious to us and if God is willing, we will find it. [Moses] said that [God] says: It's not the kind of tamed cows that plow the ground water the planted. It is spotless and of one color.”
Finding a cow with all these features was very difficult. After many problems, they found the cow. The owner of the cow said: I will sell the cow under one condition, that you give me gold as much as the cow’s skin. This amount of money was too heavy for them, but they had to, and finally asked him: and did what he wanted and bought the cow. Although the useless questions had a terrible cost to them, this experience taught them that if they want to destroy a nation or cause them problems, they should make them ask questions in vain.
Therefore, mere questioning should not be promoted, but we should be gaining knowledge. Many questions arise from ignorance and haste and compliance and has destructive effects. It also counts as a false engagement for the people and leaders. While exact and deep and compassionate questions will grow the society.

Behind the Walls of Jerusalem

A. Data Collection for the Operation

The Israelites were ready to move toward the target. The primary goal was to reach Jerusalem. Prophet, moved them and settled in the area of Jericho, in front of Jerusalem, in today’s Jordan, east to the Dead Sea. Then he sent the operation information’s troops to identify the region and warned them not to give the collected information to anybody but him. Of this section, it is understood that Israelites were an organized collection in which everyone moved according to their own commander. The information forces entered Palestine. In the area of Palestine, Amalekites settled whose average height was taller than the Israelites’. In war with swords and spears, tall height is an advantage. Reconnaissance forces began to panic. The given instructions by Moses (peace be upon him) for collecting the information is mentioned in Torah; a widely accepted instruction for data collection that each force has to act accordingly, no blind spot remained so to conquer:
“See how the earth is, and how the people dwelling in it are, strong or weak, few or a lot; and how is the land where they dwell, good or bad; and what parts of the cities do they dwell in, in tents or castles; and how the earth is, fat or thin, does it have tree or not. So have a strong heart, and bring the fruit of the earth and that time is the season of fresh grape.”
Soldiers collected the information, but those who were frightened of the huge army, before giving the information to their commander, gave it to the lower ranks and the news was spread among the people. The Israelites complaint to Moses (peace be upon him) and Aaron (peace be upon him) and they wished to were dead in Egypt: Why God brought us to this earth. Thus, Moses (peace be upon him) was suddenly faced with an army disappointed of operations.

B. Psychological Operations to Escape from War

The commanders who should have been the operation beginners, were terrified. Therefore, they organized their subordinates in order to put pressure on Moses (peace be upon him) so that he will cancel the operation. Thus they began to exaggerate. These people’s experience in exaggeration and psychological operations against the enemy troops were completely crystallized in this experience. They created the character of Uj ibn Anaq, by magnifying the height of the son of Anaq. Shia market reported this in the form that when the operation information forces were engaged in information-gathering, Uj ibn Anaq had seen them and picked them up and throw them in his sleeves and took them to the commander. Then he has put them in front of him and has said: They’ve come to take our country! Or about the commands of Prophet Moses (peace be upon him), bringing the sample fruits, it was rumored that they entered a grape garden and fasten a bunch of grapes on a wood. Then five people take the beginning and ending of the wood and take it off the ground so to bring the cluster. They also reported that in half of their pomegranate peel, five people could be located. Therefore, this assumption was created that the Palestinians are an unbeatable force.
They have even brought that Uj has cut off a mountain to put upon the Israelites.
God sent a bird from hell. It hit the mountain with a beak of fire, and the mountain was pierced and fell on Uj’s neck. Then Moses (peace be upon him) fought with Uj ibn Anaq. Moses’ height was ten cubits (about three meters) and his rod was also was ten cubit, and Moses (peace be upon him) also jumped ten cubits high, so that he could hit Uj’s ankle. Uj fell and since Moses (peace be upon him) knew that he could not move, he hit Uj so much that he died and his body had been fell there for several years.
Of course it is likely that these exaggerations are created by the next Jews, to justify that disobedience, but the biblical account of this event mentions the presence of these words in the camp of Moses (peace be upon him): a land that we crossed for investigation was a land that ate its inhabitants and all the people that we saw there were tall people. And there we saw the tall people who were the sons of Anaq, and we were like grasshoppers in our own and also in their view.

C. Rebellion against the Leader’s Command

Moses (peace be upon him) called them and said:
“O my people, enter the holy land which God has decreed for you, and do not return that you will return with injury.”
Moses (peace be upon him) who was trying for such a day several years, was faced with this response of his people at this stage of the operation:
“They said: O Moses, there are tyrant people in there and we will not enter that land until they leave. If they are out of that land, we will enter.”
Moses’ efforts to perform this operation remained useless. He was not tired at all during the fight with Pharaoh, but his people’s apostasy destroyed him. What brings down the community‘s leader is the people’s disobedience;
“Two virtuous man, whom God has bestowed favor upon them, said: enter that land through these gates and when you entered the town, you will win and put your trust in God, if you are believers.”
The preachers and believers’ advice did not benefit the Israelites. Those who only wanted good and peaceful life, to humiliate Moses (peace be upon him) and his promises, said:
“They said: O Moses, until the tyrants are there, we will never enter that town. We will sit here, you and your Lord go and fight.”
The efforts of Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) to save the people in the tumultuous years and to prepare them for the big operation, remained without any result because of Israelites’ rebellion and they, in spite of seeing all of God’s favors and helps, they did not believe the promise of victory! The clear rejection of the Prophet’s orders was at the level of disbelief. So Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) performed the last resort of prophets and cursed them.
“Said: O my Lord, I am only the owner of my own soul and my brother’s. Separate me from these disobedient people.”

D. Forty Years of Wandering

The curse of Moses (peace be upon him) was fulfilled and God put the Israelites through another suffering.
“[God] said: Their entrance to that land became forbidden for forty years, and they will remain wanderers in that dessert. So do not grieve for this disobedience.”
God had decreed this land for the Israelites, but they did not obey their supervisor, and suffered from wandering that lasted forty years. In these forty years of wandering in the valley of the Oasis, they could not take advantage of the information they have received; they wandered in that land so that they could not find a way out. Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) was also among them, but they could not gain his guidance.
Israelites suffered from diseases and death for forty years in the region. A generation changed and at the same time, Moses (peace be upon him) and Aaron (peace be upon him) died. Israelites, despite all the educational and experimental progresses and recorded in the history, are not aware of the grave of the prophet! Because when Moses (PEACE BE UPON HIM) died, they were wanderers, the result of disobeying the command of the leader is confusion and bewilderment in the land of confusion and wrongdoing.
After Moses (peace be upon him), Joshua (peace be upon him) was appointed as prophet and was missioned to pass the Israelites from Jordan River and enter the Holy Land. Joshua (peace be upon him) commanded the priests to carry the Ark of the Covenant before the eyes of the people and move it toward the Jordan River. As the priests carrying the ark entered the water, the waters went aside and they entered the Jericho across the Jordan River and all occupied the whole Palestinian land.
In this way, the Israelites governed the land of milk and honey. This land was considered as the paradise on earth, which in winter and summer, the temperature difference was not huge. The rest of their operations was the occupation of the Nile to the Euphrates, but they were immersed in material prosperity and abundance, and their faith was weakened and deviation started.
