Ghoot is a meal consumed in the afternoon. Women in Hamedan make it. It is made in different ways
and various flavors. Here is one made out of cheese and herbs.
Ingredients
Note, based on the numbers of people who are going to eat you can adjust ingredients amount.
Dried Sangak, Persian Bread, ground
Potatoes , chopped and boiled, ( you can omit potatoes if you want).
Ground Walnuts,
Herbs, like leek, basil, radish leaves, garden cress, parsley, pennyroyal and mint, finely chopped
Chopped onions, in your choice
Feta breakfast cheese, cubed in tiny sizes
Melted butter or animal fat
Soak dried bread in water for 1 or 2 hours. Put it in a bowl with a lid on so it's soft over time.
After this time, add all other ingredients to the wet bread pieces, mixing with your palms. Then
pour in oil and make small balls out of the mixture.
