Atashghah is the oldest building that is located in Isfahan from long past time.
This building is on the road of Isfahan toward Najafabad way near Monarjonban on top of the stony hill.
The majority of Islamic historians such as Ebne khordadieh, Hamdolah-e- Mostofi and Ebne Hoghel has talked about this building and have introduced it as a well-known temple.
Foreign scientists such as Maximsiro and Andreh Godar from French have investigated about this temple.
From aspect of size, there are less buildings like this temple that has such bricks. According to experts, these bricks are made of muddy articles, tiny sands and straws that are joined to them from the border of Zayanderod River so that they can have more stability.Study of scientists shows that the existing Atashgah temple in Marbin Flat Plain and building that have been made on top of it and its vicinity with one of the oldest villages of Isfahan has confirmed the oldest social center of people near this old hill.
The studies of Izmo institute uncovered that the time of construction of the building of temple is older than sassanian period.
And the studies and researches that had been done about this temples which has remained from sassanian period in Kashan ‚ Natanz‚ Yazd ‚ Azarbayejan ‚ and Naein confirm this theory.
That days not only temples weren’t built on mountains or hills but also they were built in the place where it was easy to access them.
So decisively we can say that Isfahan temple is an indication of the presence of more ancient civilizations than sassanian period and some periods before it.
Because structures of fire temple are from bricks and mud naturally it is vulnerable against topography.
And they were exposure of frequency of lesions. Stability and repaired operations have been done on it.
