Ingredients
Herbs like dill, leek, basil, and parsley, 500 g , altogether
Turmeric powder, 1 tsp
Salt and pepper, as per taste
Oil
Rice, 500 g
Ground meat, 300 g
Cabbage, finely chopped, 500 g
Onions, 2 nos, 1 grated, and the other cubed
Spices for Polo, which is a combination of green and black caraway, nutmeg, saffron, red
pepper, clove, cardamom unskinned, ginger, Mohammadi flowers powder, and cinnamon, 1

Soak rice in water for an hour. Put the drained rice in a pot and pour in enough water and bring to a boil. A few minutes before straining, add in the chopped herbs. Strain the rice.
Mix together ground meat and one grated onion, Medium-sized, and knead with your palms. Take a piece as big as a walnut off the mixture. Shape into a ball with your palms and roll in a plate of flour. Then put them in oil in a pan and fry. Keep aside. Put one chopped onion in a pan and fry in oil till translucent. Add in the cubed cabbage and sauté 10 to 12 minutes on the low flame. Add the seasoning , salt, pepper, turmeric powder, and spices and keep stirring.
Grease the bottom of the pot with a few drops of oil and spread a layer of strained rice and herbs. On top of it arrange fried meatballs and the cabbage mixture. Again another layer of rice and a layer of meat and mixture. Keep on to the top. Close the lid wrapped in a piece of cloth and let cook on a low heat.
