Ingredients
6 to 7 potatoes
150 g Ground meat
1 Green bell pepper , chopped
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 egg
Salt, pepper and thyme for seasoning
Oil for frying
1 onion
Bread crumbs or powdered toasted bread
Directions
First, cook the potatoes and grate them in a mixing bowl. Add in salt. Turn and pepper and mix well. Chop the onion finely and sauté in oil in a pan till a little golden. Then add in the ground meat, followed by chopped green bell pepper, and tomato paste. Season to taste with salt, pepper and thyme. Sauté all the ingredients.
Crack egg in a bowl and beat well till smooth. Take an orange-sized piece off the potato puree and spread in your palm. Put a tablespoon of the sautéed meat mixture in the center and wrap carefully. Make sure to close carefully otherwise the fillings will come out in oil. Shape into a Doughnut and drench in beaten egg. Then on to the bread crumbs, roll the doughnuts carefully till they are covered in crumbs. Prepare the doughnuts this way. Heat a non-stick frying pan over the flame and put the doughnuts in. Fry them on both sides till crispy and brownish.
Once they are all ready, remove to a serving platter and garnish round the dish with tomato slices, lemon rings , olives and pickled cucumber. Top your dish with hot ketchup sauce. Serve hot. Yummy! Bon Appetit!
